WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE
RN TO BSN ONLINE TRACK
The RN to BSN track is completely online which makes it easy for students who are balancing work, family, and other priorities, and can be completed in 18 months for students attending full-time.** The RN to BSN online track at Beckfield College offers the necessary nursing and general education requirements while ensuring students experience a holistic approach to the increasing demands in today’s nursing environment. With a focus on leadership and management, cultural diversity, and disaster management in conjunction with the necessary nursing courses, graduates experience a well-rounded education. Plus, we have only three nursing courses with the required clinical immersion of 12 to 16 hours in each that consists of observing a clinical nurse leader.
Graduates of this track will:
- Evaluate principles, models, and theories from nursing and related disciplines for applicability in nursing practice
- Participate in community or population-focused assessment
- Collaborate and communicate to identify, manage, and exchange knowledge with colleagues from nursing, other disciplines, and patients
- Integrate beginning leadership and management skills utilizing critical thinking, legal and ethical decision-making, and evidenced-based practice
- Use information technology to manage knowledge, communicate information, and facilitate decision-making in professional nursing practice
- Engage in quality improvement/patient safety activities to promote an understanding of the organizational process, unit application, and evaluation process
- Analyze the effect of a health policy on the organization, financing, and delivery of healthcare
- Participate in activities that advance nursing as a profession and the self as a professional
